Our Job Openings
From our office on Oude Boteringestraat in Groningen, we are developing an international software platform for organizations working in complex operational environments. Our platform supports the planning, coordination, and execution of projects and infrastructure within scientific and technical organizations worldwide.
What began as a solution for marine research planning has evolved into a widely applicable platform used globally to support scientific research and technical operations. We combine domain knowledge with strong software engineering to build a scalable, future-proof system.
In the coming years, we will take the next step in further developing the platform and expanding our international footprint. This calls for people who want to contribute to technology with a global impact and play an active role in the growth of an ambitious, technically driven company.

Product Delivery Manager
The Mission
At Maas Software Engineering, we build one of the world’s most specialised mission-critical platforms for operating complex research programmes. Our software serves as the operational backbone for some of the world’s leading national and international research organizations.
It powers some of the world’s most ambitious research projects, ensuring that teams, assets, and data stay synchronized across the globe. We’ve been doing this for over 15 years, combining the stability of an established player with the flat hierarchy and speed of a specialized tech boutique.
The Role
We are looking for a Product Delivery Manager who thrives at the intersection of high-level strategy and technical execution. You aren’t just managing a process; you are owning outcomes.
You will spend your time
- Working with senior stakeholders at global institutions to understand their constraints and long-term objectives.
- Sitting between our developers, designers, QA team, and the client, ensuring everyone understands the “why” and “when”.
- Delivering new platform features.
- Prioritizing the backlog based on impact and ensuring the platform remains consistent and usable as it grows.
- Identifying and fixing bottlenecks in our workflows to help us deliver more effectively.
We’d love to talk if you have
- Proven Experience: You’ve worked as a Project, Product, or Delivery Manager and have a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and navigating Agile/Scrum environments.
- Communication: You are comfortable communicating with various stakeholders from the academic community across the globe.
- The “Outcome” Mindset: You don’t just “finish tasks” – you solve problems.
- Language: You are fluent in English (our primary business language).
Nice to have:
- Experience with platform-scale products or complex infrastructure.
- You’ve worked with distributed teams or handled clients across different time zones.
What we offer
- Starting Salary: €3.500 – €6.000 per month.
- Real Ownership: You’ll have a direct seat at the table. In a team of our size, you can influence the roadmap in an afternoon.
- Global Impact: Your work directly supports some of the most important scientific research happening on the planet today.
- The Best of Both Worlds: The “startup vibe” (no unnecessary layers, high initiative) with the stability of a company that has been a market leader for over a decade.
- Flexibility: We’re a Groningen-based team. We value the energy of working together in the office, especially as you get up to speed. But we offer hybrid flexibility once you’ve found your rhythm.
Junior Projectmanager
For the growing development team at Maas SE, we are looking for a link between the developers and clients both locally and internationally. As a Junior Project Manager, you will be in close contact with the end-users and advise alongside the project manager on the optimal use of the system.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Onboarding new users of our software.
- Being partly responsible for the delivery of our product, ensuring high-quality software is delivered within the agreed timeframe.
- Serving as a point of contact for change requests and general feedback.
This is what we're looking for, you…
- Have at least a completed bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Have an affinity for software development.
- Are analytically strong and can apply this in practice.
- Enjoy making a societal contribution through the work you do.
- Possess communication skills (both in Dutch and in English) necessary for working in an international team.

- An excellent opportunity to contribute to the further international growth of Maas Software Engineering, with ample room for personal and professional development.
- An excellent pension scheme.
